How Ontrack Was Built — By Riders, For Riders
Ontrack was born out of a simple, everyday problem we faced ourselves.
Back in 2016, as students and young professionals in Bengaluru, we struggled with something that millions in Indian cities still deal with — unreliable, expensive, and restrictive daily commuting options. Public transport wasn’t flexible, cabs were costly, and owning a bike wasn’t always practical or affordable.
We didn’t want convenience at a premium.
We wanted freedom without ownership.
That’s where Ontrack began.
Where It All Started
Our journey started at Christ College, Bengaluru, where we experienced first-hand how difficult it was to move around the city independently. Buying a bike required upfront capital, long-term commitment, and ongoing maintenance — none of which made sense for students or early-career professionals.
What if you could ride a bike like you own it — without actually owning it?
We started small. One bike. Shared among friends. Rented for daily use.
Very quickly, we realised this wasn’t just our problem — it was everyone’s.
That one bike turned into many.
Those few riders turned into a community.
And that idea turned into
Ontrack Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
Building Ontrack — One Problem at a Time
From day one, we knew we didn’t want to build just another rental company. We wanted to fix what was broken in the bike rental experience.
We chose a different path.
Ontrack was built on
trust, transparency, and rider freedom.
Why We Do Things Differently
We don’t believe in starting relationships with suspicion. Instead of locking customer money, we invested in better verification, better systems, and better operations.
Zero deposit lowers barriers and opens access — especially for students, professionals, and first-time renters.
Unlimited Kilometers
A bike is meant to be ridden, not restricted.
- Freedom is the soul of riding
- Counting kilometers kills experiences
- Riders behave more responsibly when trusted
Unlimited kilometers mean no mental stress, no route compromises, and no surprise bills.
What We Built
We manage a growing fleet of reliable two-wheelers from trusted manufacturers, supported by strong operational systems and a hands-on team that genuinely cares about rider experience.
Who We Serve
Students who need affordable daily mobility
Professionals who want flexibility without ownership
Gig workers who rely on dependable transport
Explorers who want freedom without limits
If you value independence, simplicity, and fairness, you belong here.
Growing With Purpose
We started bootstrapped, learned the hard way, made mistakes, and improved continuously. As we grew, we focused on building sustainable operations, not shortcuts.
Does this make life easier for the rider?
If the answer is no, we rethink it.
What We Believe In
We believe mobility should empower, not stress.
Our Vision
We’re building more than a bike rental company. We’re building a rider-first mobility ecosystem for India — one that removes friction, respects customers, and adapts to modern urban life.
Ride freely. Pay fairly. Stay Ontrack.
